The Adekunle Trust Fund Organization was established in 2016 as a charity organization in blessed memory of late Mrs. Florence Adekunle Davies with the aim to transform the lives of many underprivileged children in Sierra Leone.
Record has it that the late Mrs. Davies had developed tremendous interest in charity work before the orphanage could be established.
It is against this backdrop that the ATF charity organization had maintained strong charity efforts in helping people. As recent as August 17, 2024, the Adekunle Trust Fund Organization, displayed strong spirit of generosity by donating food items, drinks and learning materials to the GSSITL Orphanage at Bassa Town Waterloo. This charity effort came after the ATF charity organized a school feeding program at the New England Ville community in Freetown. As ATF is known to always offer assistance to children in dire need; especially the vulnerable children from all backgrounds despite their religion or ethnic belongings, the charity still holds such a belief.
The donated food items, drinks and quality learning materials whose cost run into thousands of leones were received by the CEO and founder of God Service Stars International True Love Foundation, Mr. Andrew Philip Bangura.
He received the items from Mr. Alphonso Olu Davies, the CEO and Founder of the Adekunle Trust Fund Charity Organization based in Bassa Town, Waterloo.
In handing over these food items and learning materials, the CEO of the Adekunle Trust Fund, Mr. Davies expressed his organization’s strong commitment toward the course of the charity. Adding that together with his team, they are more determined to provide abundant resources for less privileged children in Sierra Leone and beyond, and are determined to establish a more refined and enlightened society. ‘’I cherish these mass of items; mostly the insightful textbooks.”
“These books are key in transforming one to become an academic which will ultimately enable you to hold critical positions in society like being doctors, lawyers, and engineers,’’ Mr. Davies noted.
He further encouraged the children to put God at the center of their daily activities and to always work hard.
In his remarks, while responding as a sign of gratitude and receiving the donated items, the CEO and director of God Service Stars International Trust Love Foundation, Mr. Andrew Philip Bangura expressed enormous thanks and appreciations to the founder of the Adekunle Trust Fund organization and the entire membership of the foundation.
He further added that at a time like this when the economy is unstable, he was bemused to see ATF organization to be making such a valuable donations.
‘’Sierra Leone needs more of your organization which could transform the lives of the vulnerable people. These gifts are more than enough for these children, we pray for God’s limitless provision for the Adekunle Trust Fund Organization and team but you Mr. Davies in particular, ‘’he noted. Mr. Bangura ended by expressing sincere thanks to the CEO and founder of the ATF and the rest of its membership present at the event.
As beneficiaries, on behalf of the children at God Service Stars International Trust Love Foundation orphanage, Mohamed Turay and Fatmata Fofanah demonstrated a high-spirit with tremendous humility and said thanks and appreciations to the CEO and members of the ATF Charity Organization for the massive and timely support.
They further thanked the ATF CEO for sharing words of hard work and courage to them.
The event was climaxed with the children participating in a family meal, followed by recitation of some insightful and inspirational Biblical rhymes.
The Adekunle Trust Fund Organization and partners are implementing three programs under review. The three programs have separate objectives with a common focus of providing basic needs for children and their families, to make their lives a better one.
The three programs are focusing on a scholarship scheme and the provision of school learning materials for primary school pupils, on community feeding program, and on medical program.
