The five acres land set aside by stakeholders for the Anne Walsh Memorial School has been graded and sold at Charlotte village.
Speaking to this medium, landowners of Charlotte have continuously called on government to pay attention in their community.
“The five acres land plotted for the expansion of the first Anne Walsh Secondary School has been grabbed and sold. We wanted to preserve this land for future touristic site which will attract tourist in the community.”
What is more likely to be a dangerous situation is that most of those selling the land are not landowners neither are they born and breed in the community.

Denis Valcascel land owners told this medium that, the situation in their community is pathetic which have the propensity to create chaotic situation in the area.
“We want some of this land to be a monumental site and not dwelling places. How can ministry officials just jump onto our lands and direct it as their personal property,” he said.
He spoke on the need for government’s intervention and how to come to landowners aid.
Rachel English said they have been treated like foreigners or stateless.
“We are not stateless people. We have document of our fore-fathers lands at Charlotte. What we are facing today demonstrate the unwillingness of authority to rescue us from such intimidating tactic,” Rachel English said.
