Dear Editor,
Please let me space in your widely read newspaper, the Africa 24, to put out my views to the public and by extension the International Community in respect of the campaign timetable put out by the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone ahead of the June 24th polls which is just three weeks around the corner.
I have observed lately that, even though the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) has issued out a timetable for political parties to rally/campaign but, the Main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) party is still facing intimidations and bullying from members of the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples party (SLPP).
Mr. Editor, I am not making a case for the main opposition as I am non-partisan and,
it is befitting that institutions charged with the responsibilities to conduct elections and regulate the activities of all political parties such as the Political Parties Regulation Commission ( PPRC) and the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) to know what is happening.
According to my salient observation, the ruling SLPP party is campaigning at every given time and at every community level over other political parties.
I want to draw the attention of the institutions responsible to take note and to put a full stop to it. A level playing field MUST all ways be put in place by those responsible.
The ruling SLPP should note that no condition is permanent under the sun and, every dog has its own day under the sun.
Thank you so very much in advance Mr. Editor.
