The wise bird is always flying from east to west of the capital, Freetown and from Parliament Building to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)’s office.
It’s not necessarily making an ordinary visit but is doing it to get ‘hard facts’ on issues of national interest.
Bra Parrot was coming from Parliament and immediately, he got the news that a press release is out, as he was about to enter Anti-Corruption Commission’s office.
The wise bird saw the press statement in respect of the corruption allegations in parliament against the Clerk’s wife Mr. Abibatu Paran Tarawally.
If the press release the wise bird had seen is anything to go by, the wise bird will safely say that, Mrs. Abibatu Paran Tarawally, is guilty of the allegation being levied against her, and it would mean that she had been receiving illegal salaries, from September 2021 to March 2023 for a period of nineteen months when put together.
According to what the wise bird saw from the ACC press release, Mrs Paran Tarawally, has already paid back to government the sum of Le 131 million.
The wise bird is however not making a case for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), but it has smelt that there are ghost workers in Parliament too!
And even the contract signed for a private company to handle the cleaning of parliament is questionable.
The wise bird is also of the view that not only in Parliament, but also most of the government Ministries and Parastatals have ‘ghost workers’ eating State funds at the detriment of the State.
The wise bird has also been reliably informed that, even the cars wash boys at State House are allegedly on the government pay roll, shortly the wise bird will give out the names of the Ministries and parastatals that are in that ugly practice.
