-EMF President

Speaking on Hope Radio 93.3FM in Makeni city, Bombali district northern Sierra Leone on Wednesday 15th November, 2023, the President of Everybody Must Farm (EMF), Mahamoud Fofana, Sfano Njawa Sesay bravely stated that ‘a president of any country cannot single-handedly feed a nation.’

His statement is in denial of President Bio’s pronouncement to feed Sierra Leone under his “Feed Salone Initiative” being one the Big 5 Gamechangers.

During the radio interview with one of Sierra Leone’s objective journalists, Mahamoud Fofana, Sfano Njawa Sesay, argued that previous political leaders of Sierra Leone failed to achieve on food self-sufficiency and food security drive because of lack of political will to implement the ideas and support towards encouraging policy statements they made as political leaders especially on Agriculture and Climate Change.

He added that his Everybody Must Farm campaign is on massive awareness raising actions, encouraging the general public to massively investment on agriculture.

Mr. Sesay also spoke about the private sector approach to eradicating poverty by promoting self-reliance, decent job creation opportunities and economic growth.

He encouraged the traditional leaders of the country to discourage businessmen that are in the habit of cutting down trees and to encourage them to protecting trees and forests. He added that encouraging such negative act against food sufficiency and climate change will seriously sabotage agriculture and that of better climate condition.

President Njawa-Sesay called on the public to massively engage in local food production, protect the forests and help make the country food sufficient.
