According to reports, the visit of the Tonderai Manoto’s International Labour Organization (ILO) led team about agribusiness research and the possible creation of job opportunities for the youth especially the Women and Persons With Disabilities has motivated the people of that community especially members of the EMF that are presently organized to gain from the Opportunity Salone Program by the ILO.
In the meeting, Samuel Kenneh, a GET-Ahead trainer of the ILO, who is working closer with the EMF, disclosed that the EMF partnership with the Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and the ILO is seriously considered at the higher offices and that the people should be serious and do what is right with the EMF for their own good.
Kenneh furthered that many job opportunities in the agriculture sector have been ignored by the able youth that are languishing in big towns and cities subject to drug addiction because of frustration and that the EMF-ILO good partnership is doing its best to bring back the youth to their normal senses and the lost glory of profitable Agribusinesses in Sierra Leone.
The Deputy Country Director of EMF, Mrs. Isata Kamara thanked the President of EMF, Sfano Njawa Sesay, the District Field Agriculture Officer (DFAO) Bo district, Joseph Kpaka and Samuel Kenneh for their tireless efforts to be in the consultative and agreement meetings with the people of Bumpeh Chiefdom. Mrs. Kamara furthered that the EMF has built its integrity and sustainable development drive and that the EMF-ILO partnership is on good and outstanding records that will be a better case study for other organizations and countries to follow.
