Mishella Koroma, a businesswoman made her first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on four count charges to wit collection of prohibited drug without lawful authority contrary to section 7 (b) of the National Drug Control Act 2008, Act No.10 of 2008, dealing in prohibited drug without lawful authority contrary to section 7 (c) of the National Drug Control Act 2008, Act No.10 of 2008, transportion of prohibited drug without lawful authority contrary to section 7 (b) of the National Drug Control Act 2008, Act No.10 of 2008 and possession of a prohibited drug without lawful authority contrary to section 8 (a) of the National Drug Control Act 2008, Act No.10 of 2008.
According to the particulars of offence, on Saturday 10th May 2025 at the Freetown International Airport Lungi, the Port Loko District in the Northern province of Sierra Leone, collected prohibited drug without lawful authority.
In count two, on the same date and place the accused person deals in a prohibited drug without lawful authority and in
count three, that on the same date and place, the accused person transported prohibited drug without lawful authority.
Count four further stated that on the same date and place, the accused was found in possession of two small parcels of cocaine without lawful authority.
When the charges were read and explained to the accused person, no plea taken.
The Prosecutor DPC 18235 Kabbie K. Thoronka sought for a short adjournment date to lead his first prosecution witness.
The accused was represented by C. Pujeh Esq.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Fornah refused bail based on the seriousness of the offence charged and sent the accused person to the female correctional facility in Freetown and matter adjourned to 2nd July, 2025.
