The Wise Bird will never take sides on issues.
He always gives praises where praises are due and condemn where it is necessary.
The people love the bird because of his objectivity in handling national issues of the day. The most respected animal always calls things by their correct and proper names.
Information reaching the bird is that a lot of accolades are poured on the Director General of the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) of which the bird is very much happy about.
But the uncompromising animal is of the view that it is correct to do other roads in other parts of the country as Freetown is not Sierra Leone.
It is good to do almost all the roads in the country as it is the mandate of the SLRA to do so as per law.
To construct or repair the Tikonko-Kpelema Mattru-Jong Road, Modern Lumley market and other roads, is laudable venture.
The bird is in total support of SLRA and Pavi Fort in spearheading this transformative initiative.
The bird was also informed that Pavi Fort is carrying out several key projects at Ferry Junction, Signal Hill, Juba, Shell New Road, Texaco and in Portee to name but a few.
The problem the bird has with the Authority (Director General) is that, to leave the road which is right in the center of the Capital Freetown namely the Fourah Bay Road but they go far in the West, and far in the East to start roads work there.
The work at Fourah Bay Road was poorly done, and nobody shows any concern by way of monitoring whether the work was done properly or is even completed. Nobody cares.
Thank God the bird does not walk on foot only that the most respected animal has concern for his people and their welfare.
The bird is of the view that, Fourah Bay Road should have been the first road to attend to because it is right in the Central Business District (CBD) and so priority should be given to the central areas of the City.
The bird went out to sound the views of the people; and almost all those the bird contacted appreciate the Director General of SLRA.
But they are unhappy with the DG for a poor timing on doing the work.
Fourah Bay Road should have been priority to SLRA but the people have asked why not given preference?
The Parrot, however; gives an accolade and praise to DG.
