The wise bird loves Sierra Leone and Sierra Leoneans so much so that the taking away of precious life of a Sierra Leonean is a very serious concern for the bird.

Had it not been for the several deep thoughts and considerations, the wise bird would have instantly recommended for the overhaul, if not, a disband of the entire Operations Support Division (OSD), the paramilitary wing of the police force in my Kingdom without a least consideration of the ramifications it will have.

It is no secret that, primacy of the lives and properties fall Sierra Leoneans including the wise bird is in the hands of the security sector, the police.

Trust me; the wise bird is ready to extend his anger to anyone who dares asked me a hypocritical question. Because, I’m sure, many of my people must have heard if not, seen what happened in the afternoon hours of Thursday 21st  2023 in the heart of the City very close to my palace and a police security headquarters’ post.

Do you want to tell the patriotic Bird that you never heard that a lone dissident in my Kingdom’s capital on that day snatched or without confrontation, took a weapon from one of the female OSD officers at one of the commercial banks where she was providing security service for that vital financial institution when some gun shootings started with loud sound blasting in the air, the wise bird is really in sympathy with the female security officer, when looking at the dissident structure the female officer cannot stand him.

Had it not been for the infinite mercies of the living God, some significant numbers of unsuspecting souls would have been massacred that day.

That could have happened before the timely intervention of one of my own trained, qualified and fearless military men who materialized from nowhere and sacrificed himself by confronting the dangerous, marauding dissident.

 Bravo to him! For saving the lives of men and women in my Kingdom on that day.

One million salute for you gallant soja even though the wise bird is not in support of any killing of a Sierra Leonean but in your case you saved so many lives that day.

You are indeed a national hero and I have already recommended your promotion and I hope the authority will hear out the wise bird.

The Brave and fearless Bird is really bothered about what happened on that day, though. To the patriotic animal, that is just a warning shot for our forces to be attentive and be on red alert all the time.

What had angered the Wise Bird most is the careless way in which these guards, especially the female officers the way they handle their weapons in public places.

They sometimes place them either on their laps or carelessly lean them on some walls or somewhere and forgetfully but focus their attention entirely on their cell phones.

So tell me, how can an elderly and a weak Bird like me relies on such guards for my safety and protection? Same goes for the entire population in my Kingdom because I care for their safety too.

Let me ask again, is that the way our “force for good” wants to continue to protect our lives and properties in my Kingdom? No! I don’t believe so.

The Wise Bird can vividly remember that a similar incident had occurred at Mercury International’s branch office at Wellington some couple of years ago with  thieves fearlessly forced their way into the gambling center where armed security men were present, had huge sums of money taken away.

Candidly speaking such a situation is scary and the wise angry bird will no longer accept that. So, it’s high time security apparatus thought of swift solution to these scaring things in order to prevent future occurrence.
