To be candid with everyone, Bra Parrot who is known for his patience is getting frustrated every day, especially with the attitude of some parents/guardians towards teachers that are using their time and energy teaching their children/wards in order for them to become worthy in future.

Bra Parrot became angrier when he visited a certain school in the eastern part of the capital Freetown, to find out how the on-going admission of JSS students was done, given the corruption allegations around it.

Even before started his investigation, he was rudely interrupted by one of the rude parents, a short grey-haired woman, using unprintable words against a teacher in anger for beating her daughter to reprimand her.

As a parent too and a member of Parents Teachers Association (PTA) in one of the schools in the city, Bra Parrot knows too well the consequences for a teacher to beat a pupil mercilessly which is why in fact, capital punishment has been abolished in schools.

But equally so, it is bad for parents who are expected train their children the right way, should be seen doing the reverse using very serious abusive words in schools to the hearing of school pupils including their children for minor issues they’re able to settle.

The wise bird knows that, the reason why children are wayward today and why they are so impolite with teachers and elders is because of the rude attitude of most parents and guardians towards teachers depicting the way they bring up their children at home.

The attitude of that lady Bra Parrot saw standing openly and rudely and loudly using abusive language at somebody who teaches her child, is a clear demonstration that, that  child in future will never hesitate to slap his/her teacher in the classroom or will not also spear even that bad parent. Why?

Because the parent’s rude behaviour has already shown the child that their nature is to be rude and arrogant to elders.

This is the reason why some teachers are facing so many problems today with pupils because they have never been taught by their breeders that elders should be respected at all times at homes, schools and in public places.

Bra Parrot is warning the said parent not to repeat that action again or her name and the name of her child will be used in subsequent editions by the angry Parrot.

She should try to be a better example for little ones to emulate, after all grey-haired are expected to exhibit wisdom and not folly.

Bra Parrot is also advising other parents too not to do the same in other schools.
