The Sierra Leone national men’s football team Manager, Babadi Kamara, has exited himself after two years in office.
The motives for his departure are unclear to the public especially football lovers at home and aboard. He was appointed as the team manager of Leone Stars in July 2021 and he was subjected to a renewal contract later this month (July 2023).
Kamara is the chairman of Bo Rangers Football Club and doubles as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the newly constructed Southern Arena, the first private owned stadium in Sierra Leone priding itself with six thousand capacities.
Though, many Sierra Leoneans are asking if he is seeking for the ministry’s (Sports) position this time around under the current regime of President Bio. This is speculated based on his role during June elections’ campaigns. And that is also because Sierra Leone politics is highly seedy with compensation. Nowadays, mainstream politics is the order of the day in a bid to securing better job offers.
