The Regional Commander for Freetown West Police division, Commissioner Victor Manfred Williams has at the weekly police press briefing on Tuesday 24th January, 2023 informed newsmen that they are having in their custody an employee of AK Security Sulaiman Swarray who was arrested at Mile 13 check point with large quantity of cables belonging to the Electricity Distribution Supply Authority (EDSA).

Addressing newsmen at their police headquarters on George Street, Commissioner Victor Manfred Williams said the suspect was arrested while he was trying to smuggle the cables via a commercial, adding that the vehicle was intercepted and a thorough search conducted by the police and discovered the EDSA electricity cables which the AK Security Guard, Sulaiman Swarray claimed ownership.

He disclosed that the AK Security Guard told the police that the EDSA cables belong to another person, but denied to disclose the owner’s identity after being robustly interrogated, adding that the suspect is currently under custody.
