Reports reaching this medium say Pa Salieu is solidly in support of Pa Alhaji Ishmael Kargbo to be the Regent Chief in the Sellah Limba Chiefdom.

He said that the reasons why he wants the old man to be a Regent Chief is because he has served as a local court chairman, so he is a custodian in village matters.

He has been to Mecca on a pilgrimage and he is contributing a lot more to community developments.

Pa Sallieu said as a contender for Sella Limba chieftaincy he is a God-fearing man, a quality which is very important to him that will guide him in his leadership role, adding that his work of cattle- rearing in Sierra Leone has contributed to national development.

When interviewed by this medium, Alhaji Ishmael Alieu Kargbo, stated that he is matured and a citizen responsible to be a Regent Chief. He added that he has witnessed the reign of eight Paramount Chiefs in the region.

He explained that the process of choosing a Paramount Chief involves after the death of the host Paramount Chief, followed by a ritual ceremony to choose a new Paramount Chief thereafter.

He added that if he becomes the Regent Chief, he would unite the ruling houses together in the chiefdom, while emphasizing that the government does not have the right to select the Paramount Chief, but that responsibility lies with the people.

He concluded by stating that if he becomes the Regent Chief, he would ensure an inclusive governance in his chiefdom.
