Following the continuous flip-flop in the Sierra Leone Roads Authority leadership status, tongs are now wagging on the tenure of office of Director Kanneh which has expired including the six month extension that has also expired since 23th August, ideas to operate to the expectation of the masses had also expired long- long years ago; everything had expired but the man is still in the office. Many concerned citizens are curious to know why? In fact some people are beginning to doubt the SLPP government about ability to do the needful amidst clamor of the general populace whom they are serving.

One may be forced to ask if it is true to say that appointment to sensitive positions are based on connection instead of merit? There is no gainsaying in the fact that good road network is a very significant component to development and the stark reality is that since Director Kanneh took the mantle of leadership at  SLRA not much has been done. Even the minor roads rehabilitation exercises including the one man contractor contract has always been shrouded in oblivion including the some major contracts that he   awarded to some people in the country over the years.
