The wise bird is very practical in doing things, and which is more the reason the brave bird is so much loved by the people he represents.

Since the fearless and patriotic bird came to the limelight, he has never maliciously black-mailed an individual or group of individuals in the name of politics or otherwise.

That is more the reason the people have confidence in the wise bird.

It is no secret that, world-over, Presidents would come and go but the country and the people continue to stay; it is a fact that it has been a norm in Sierra Leone that today no President will just do one term in office.

The question the wise bird is asking is that is it a lay-down principle that all Presidents must do two terms in office whether such a President performs or not?

Late Alhaji Ahmed Tejan Kabbah did two terms because of his performance, and so former President Ernest Bai Koroma also did two terms because of his performance and now President Maada Bio is doing his second term even though up-to-date his winning still has question mark, but he is still the President.

What amazes the wise bird is that, President Bio has not even taken one year in office in his second term, but heads are up now as to who will succeed him.

If the romour the wise bird is getting is anything to go by, then the people of Sierra Leone are envisaging a very big problem in the SLPP.

The unconfirmed news in town is that a former strong-man in the APC, Musa Tarawallie, is pushing strongly to take over from President Bio, and also former leader of NGC Kandeh Yomkellah is said to be interested in the top position; former Chairman of SLPP John Oponjo Benjamin is another favourite in the party structure; the present Vice President Juldeh Jalloh and Chief Minister are all ticked as interested men for ‘whyte ose’.

The wise bird as usual went out to sound the views of people; Bra Parrot flew to the office of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s party (SLPP) to get the views of supporters at the SLPP office.

The wise bird got mixed reactions on this issue, almost all those the wise bird spoke to have their own personal candidate they would like for the top post.

One strong SLPP man the wise bird spoke to was very clear in saying that the problem in the Sierra Leone People’s party (SLPP) will be more than that of the APC-in the days to come.

He went further to say that the President is not even one year in office then the fight had started for top position in the party and the land.

Who will actually succeed President Bio the big man had asked, and from the look of things, he said, ‘our party will be in disarray sooner or later,’ he concluded.
