Twenty-eight years old Ibrahim Kamara a Business man made another appearance before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura of Pademba Road court no.8 in Freetown on a count charge for larceny contrary to section 2 of the larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Friday 6th June 2025 at Fullah Choice Guest House Regent Road, Western Area in Freetown.
He stole one IPhone 11 promax blue black in colour with physical cash of one thousand Leones all to the total value of eleven thousand Leones(11,000) property of Adama Sesay
Detective Police Constable 14898 Joseph Lamin Dumbuya lead Prosecution witness number one Adama Sesay she recognized the accused person as she recalled on the 6th June 2025 on the above date the accused met her in a bar at Regent Road Central by Goderich Street the accused asked her if she could drink.
She said yes and the accused bought her one Voody the accused asked her to sleep with her she accepted she told the accused the price which was seven hundred Leones.
The accused told her he didn’t have the money. However, they went to sleep and in the morning she did not see the accused when she woke up.
She didn’t see the accused person, and her phone and the money. The phone cost ten thousand Leones and physical sum of one thousand Leones inside her bag she had to ask the owner of the hotel who told told her that he did not see the accused person the name of the manager at the hotel was one Samuel who said he saw the accused person with two phones in his hands but he said he never knew it was the complainant phone upon that she reported the matter to the police The accused was arrested taken to the central police station the witness said there were the two of them in the room herself and the accused she made statement to the police station.
Prosecution witness number two Samuel Sesay a staff at the said guest House he recognized the accused and the complainant in this matter
He recall on the 6th June 2025 on the said date at around 12:00am going up to VIP guest with a woman but he did not know who the person was normally when the accused booked a place he would leave at around 6:00 or 7:00am on the day in question the accused came to him around 4:00am to wake him up to open the gate when he approached the accused he was holding two mobile phones and a plastic himself together with the accused walked down to the gate and he opened the gate for him after the accused person left prosecution witness number one came complain that the person she slept with had gone and her phone and money were missing.
She told him that she slept with the accused upon that his boss intervened in the matter by searching for the accused person after three days the accused was arrested and taken to the bar.
The accused said they should take him to the police which they did they took him to central police station where he made a statement to the police.
The accused person was not legally represented he cross examined both witness.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Samura refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional facility in Freetown matter adjourned to the 18th July 2025.
