The national football team, Leone stars are set to introduce new talents as they prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifiers.
With their eyes on qualifying for AFCON, the squad is looking to bolster its lineup with new players from both local and international clubs.
One of the most anticipated additions to the squad is 18-year-old winger Osman Kamara, a rising star from Arsenal’s youth academy. Kamara has garnered significant attention for his performances in England and is eager to clad in the Leone Stars jersey for the upcoming qualifiers.
His inclusion in the squad will bring hope as he is sure to inject a youthful energy and creativity in the team.
The young talent is keen on making a meaningful contribution and is looking forward to having regular playing time for his country.
Joining him is Dutch-Sierra Leonean right-back Samba Will, who currently plays for SV Huizen in the Dutch fourth division. Will has voiced his excitement about representing Sierra Leone and is determined to make a positive impact, particularly in the crucial upcoming match against Ivory Coast.
His defensive prowess and experience in European football are expected to add depth to the team’s backline.
Also more international players, Kamara said, have expressed interest in joining Leone Stars squad, including in the list Umaru Samura, whose inclusion could further enhance the team’s competitive edge as they aim to secure their place in the AFCON 2025 tournament, which is said to be hosted in Morocco.
