The Opposition Chief Whip, Hon. Abdul Karim Kamara (AKK) has urged Dr. Samura Kamara and his team to come out with the truth about the tripartite.
Hon AKK has also ignited the embers in the APC party for reformation.
Many grassroots supporters are with the perceptions that this development on the other hand has served as a threshold for the party to regain its breath as it was under life support due to the efforts of some social media bloggers as they were perambulating with falsify information.
Others are with the views that those bloggers have already indirectly high jacked the party as anyone who stands to speak the truth and they would be there to counter claims.
Immediately after the Opposition Chief Whip mentioned some names, particularly those who were party of the peace process as well as those at the tripartite committee who should speak truth to power, the social media was flooded with assorted feelings as whether those individuals have the energy to confront the truth.
However, one of those personalities is, Ambassador Omrie Golley.
Majority have concluded that the gentleman needs to be applauded for his bold steps to come out and made his stance clear to the people of this nation through a press release.
Many grassroots made it clear that Amb. Omrie Golley has proven himself to be one of the most honesty and trustworthy politicians who might never mortgage his integrity.
According to his press statement, during the national unity negotiation sitting, it was well spelt that there will be no rerun of the 2023 elections neither to force the Electoral Commissioner to provide the disaggregated date as it was being demanded by the APC party.
Ambassador Golley as Part of the technical Team in the Dialogue for National Unity, raised pertinent issues relating to the Term of Reference of the Dialogue, which had not been clarified to the APC Party even as the dialogue commenced.
The International Community headed by Haja Fatoumata C.M. Jallow Tambajang, subsequently, in response to the concerns raised by Ambassador Golley, stated that her team was never in Sierra Leone to compel the ECSL to publish disaggregated data neither were they in the country to order for a rerun of the 2023 election.
He furthered note that being an individual that is always keen to safeguarding his reputation, no sooner he may have smelt the rat, and he advised the APC party to withdraw from the dialogue and to get inform the grassroots as that would prevent over suspicious taking into cognizance the reactions of the people. But since the party did not heed his advice, he quitted from the dialogue.
As a result, being a technical committee member, Ambassador Golley advised the APC Party to pull out of the Dialogue, in order for the whole team to report to the grassroots of the Party.
His position was predicated on his fundamental belief that the grassroots might never get justice from the dialogue.
Infact, for that reason, he withdrew his participation from the dialogue.
Despite of all that, the grassroots are calling on the remaining personalities
who were part and parcel of the peace agreement to come out and speak to them as they have been kept in the wilderness for a while without seeing any pathway.
Keep personalities called are: Dr. Samura Kamara, Dr. Kelfara Marah, Dr. Richard Konteh, Hon. Abdul Kargbo, Hon. Osman Timbo, Hon. Alimamy Petito Koroma, Prince Tholley.
To crown it all, the MP said, for Amb.
Omrie Golley, the grassroots of the APC are proud of him due to his commitment in upholding his integrity, believing that anyone who wants to lead the party, integrity must be one of his benchmarks to protect.
