Authoritative sources have disclosed that, the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) have plans at hand to do and use everything possible within their reach to rig the June 24th, 2023 Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Council elections.

Credible information reaching the Africa 24 newspaper states that, the SLPP party is desperately making every move to use some institutions notably the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL), in which is no secret took sides even in the registration process to rig the election by all means.

Now that the party had seen the writings on the wall, they are no longer comfortable with the present situation of things and as such making contingency plans at their own advantage to win at all cost.

Since the controversial appointment of the now Chief Electoral Commissioner, Mohamed Kenewui Konneh there is no stability in the commission.

The source further disclosed that a secret meeting was held were a decision was reached that the Commissioner should use his powers in the Constitution and Electoral Act to cancel results in a larger parts of the opposition strong holds like Freetown, Makeni, Portloko and Kambia to name but a few so that the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples party (SLPP) will have a field day to win the election come June 24th, 2023.
