Isata Bindi has on Friday July 18th 2025 arraigned before Magistrate Mustapha Briama Jah of Pademba Road Court No.1 for allegedly stabbing his husband to death with a knife.
Bindi was arraigned before the court on a count charge of manslaughter contrary to law.
The charge sheet indicates that, Bindi on Tuesday 13 May, 2025 at Aberdeen Road in Freetown, unlawfully killed Mustapha Bangura.
No plea was taken by the accused, because the offense levied against her is grave.
The prosecutor ASP Ibrahim Mansaray sought for an adjournment that the witnesses are not before the court, adding that he has just received the file.
The matter was adjourned to 21 July, 2025 for hearing.
According to the file, accused Bindi and the deceased Mustapha are husband and wife and they were living together and they have two children.
The file further stated that both of them came from the same district in Bo where relationship was built leading to marriage.
The file further stated that as time went by they were having quarrels and both were not in speaking terms.
On that said day a domestic altercation ensued between them and accused Bindi allegedly used sharp object to stab her husband Bangura leading to his death.
