Information filtering around the person of Dr. Samura Matthew Wilson Kamara, former presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC) party, is that the senior politician’s camp is considering forming a new political party.

The reason according to sources is because they believed Dr. Samura has woefully lost ground in the party and the tendency for his coming back as the party’s presidential material is in “deep doubt”.

Others have intimated this medium that, the executive and supporters of the APC have called on many APC’s biguns to step aside including Samura who’s lost the presidency twice.

“We cannot be encouraging dormant politicians to sit on our fate. For  Samura, it is because of his laziness and inconsistency to act upon emerging issues and take action to prevent a rigging of the elections which made him to woefully lost twice,” APC’s supporter, Osman Fofanah, said.

What is more heartrending, Fofanah explained, is that, Dr Samura Kamara had issued out ultimatum many times without him taking actions, adding that such a docile politician is a sell out; his vote and is not worth a salt.

Meanwhile, Fofanah lamented, the APC is now working towards resuscitating the party and will bring new brains onboard who can stir the ship to victory in 2028.

In parliament, one Amadu Wurie Jalloh said, the SLPP is always happy to have Dr. Samura Kamara as contender during elections because, with him, they easily defeat him and the party hands down.

“In fact we will protect Dr. Samura Kamara to clinch the APC party flagship for 2028 and for us as SLPP to enjoy another landslide victory. We will not hand over power to the APC,” Jalloh confirmed.

Information from the APC Secretariat have also told this medium that, the party is currently working on the unity of the party and to plan for the 2026 party conventions to elect the executives of the party.

Sources say, the party has decided to forget about the tripartite as it focuses its attention now on how the party can restructure itself for a victory come 2028.

Other sources say, Dr Samura Kamara is always using his private office for party meetings and has gone as far single handedly sneaked to President Julius Maada Bio and the reason for his visit is still doubtful.

Many have opined that, it is not Dr. APC’s hopeful who is popular but the party which is more popular than anyone.

They said party would ensure that no single person damages the party’s image for their selfish endeavour.

Recently, Dr Samura issued a very strong statement but without some action points and many perceived that statement as just a smoke, meaning it will never yield any dividend.

Some recalled that the politician is a technocrat and will only thrive in the field of technocrat and not on the political space.

They said, Samura’s weakness has brought the party to disrepute and ransom.

Others said, the party leadership and the executive are the major obstacle for the progress of the party and has called for the overhauling of the leadership and brings together those that stand the test of time.

However, Dr Samura Kamara’s hope to contest for the flagship for the 2028 is still in doubt.

Other supporters, though, have informed this medium that Dr Samura Kamara could  form his own political party to challenge the APC and the SLPP.

That is if he fails to get APC’s presidential flag-post for 2028.
