Inspector Joshua Moisa of the criminal investigation department has told the press during the weekly police press briefing on Tuesday 21st, 2023 that the OSD security attached to the former Lebanese Chairman Samir Hassanyeh, at Spur road, Corporal 17589 Fofanah .A has allegedly killed one Yayah Jalloh of Fullah town at Waterloo.

Giving update on police activities at the SLP headquarters on George Street, Joshua Moisa stated that the Homicide unit is currently investigating an alleged case of murder reported by one Thomas Joseph a resident of Waterloo.

He said that information revealed that the OSD Corporal A.Fofanah and the deceased together with one Mariatu Kargbo attended a carnival at the Bassa town playing field and after spending some hours, they decided to go home and while on their way back home, Corporal A. Fofanah made a statement saying that “he wants to release some shot,” and he became afraid trying to go back to the field. Joshua Moisa stated that Thomas Joseph told the police he was returning to the field when he saw Corporal A. Fofanah shot at Yayah Jalloh.

However, Joshua Moisa disclosed the alleged murderer is under custody.
