The English born-defender scored his first goal for his country, Sierra Leone. The goal came in the 12 minute of play last week against Djibouti, in the 2026 World Cup qualifying match.
Curtis Davies was selected by the Sierra Leone’s national team coach, Amidu Karim, to take part in two World Cup Qualifying matches against Djibouti and Burkina Faso.
Davies was seen celebrating Leone Stars 2-1 win against Djibouti, with his two beautiful daughters in El Abdul Stadium in El Jadida, Morocco.
He was very instrumental in helping Leone Stars securing their first victory in the World Cup Qualifying group stages. The 39-year-old defender currently plays for Cheltenham Town in England. Davies was a regular match maker in the 2023/24 season with over 30 appearances for the Robins while scoring one. Cheltenham relegated to the English Football League (EFL) Two after finishing 21 in the EFL League One in the 2023/24 season.
