Usually reliable report reaching Africa24r newspaper has indicated that, the Local Community Chairman Mr. Elloit Bob Ngegba of Constituency 111, Rokel village in the Western Rural District of Sierra Leone has been declare wanted by the Sierra Leone Police.

Mr. Elloit Bob Ngegba is allegedly accused as one of the inciters of the August 10, 2022 protest against incumbent President Julius Maada Bio and the State.

On that fateful day youths were chanting “Maada Bio Must Go”, as according to them, the President was unable to transform their lives as the prices of basic commodities skyrocketed, high rate of youth unemployment, gross human right violations on perceived political opponents.

The August 10, 2022 incident left about six police officers dead allegedly killed by protesters; there were also civilian casualties, setting ablaze of state properties and there was a running battle between protesters and State security apparatus.

Ngegba and other protesters were visibly seen resisting state security, the government later on declared the protesters as coup plotters as wanting to overthrown legitimate authority.

Ngegba, was among few that were fortunate to have escaped to an unknown location.

Protesters of the August 10, 2022 were secretly chased out at the respective residences. Sources informed Africa24 that some were serially killed in cold blood by Deputy Internal Affairs Minister, Lahai Lawrence Leema.
