On Wednesday noon to the evening, tragedy struck in our Community as a three rooms house was engulfed in flames, leaving a family of over 8 homeless and in desperate needs of assistance.
The fire broke out the evening hours, quickly spreading throughout the modest dwelling, which was the cherished home of the Charlie family.
Neighbors reported hearing loud popping sounds followed by thick smoke billowing into the sky. Fire Force arrived promptly, but despite their heroic efforts, the fire had already taken hold, leaving the structure severely damaged. Fortunately, the family managed to escape unharmed, but they watched in despair as their home, filled with memories and personal belongings, was reduced to ashes.
We never thought this could happen to us, Mr. Moses Charlie said , fighting back tears. We just want to give our children a safe place to live again he maintained.
This devastating incident highlights the vulnerability of families in our community and the urgent needs for government intervention. We call on local and State officials to step in and provide immediate support for the Charlie family and affected by such disasters.
