In the last couple of weeks, supporters of the All People’s Congress (APC) party especially those dubbed as Team A, had gone berserk against their Members of Parliament over their leader Samura Kamara, APC’s past presidential candidate.
The negative bashing against the MPs is as a result of allegations levied against Dr. Samura Kamara by Hon Abdul Karim Kamara representing Kambia District.
According to supporters, the MP pelted false allegations against Dr. Samura Kamara for telling them to join President Bio to lobby for the MCC $480 compact.
Supporters said Dr Samura Kamara never attempted to tell APC MPs to go with President Bio for MPs, adding that the allegations are baseless and have the propensity to undermine the hard-earned reputation of Dr Samura Kamara.
The staunch supporters of Dr Samura Kamara said, the very MPs are the very one that fighting against electoral justice.
Hon Kemoh Sesay from Port Loko stated that Hon AKK allegations against Dr. Samura Kamara is falacious.
Audios from Hon Kemoh Sesay always goes with assurance that the tripartite is not yet over.
According to Hon Kemoh Sesay, the there is no peace without justice and the 2023 elections are far from over.
Kemoh Sesay has also accused APC MPs of backbiting the called for electoral justice.
Many APC grassroots supporters are still with the view that, Dr. Samura Kamara won the June 2023 Presidential elections.
Many said the APC MPs and the national executive should focus on electoral justice call of Dr Samura Kamara rather than anything else.
They said fighting against Dr. Samura Kamara at a time when stakeholders needed him most is a call for concern for the party.
Supporters have relentlessly sent derogatory and invective words against MPs for what they perceived as undermining the call for electoral justice in Sierra Leone.
Some say the coming of the regional forces will be an added advantage for the call for electoral justice.
In his statement, Hon AKK said Dr Samura is not telling the truth on how the electoral justice should be implemented.
According to Hon AKK the said call of electoral justice has no clear strategies and on how the justice should go.
He spoke about the weakness of their leader Dr. Samura.
Many grassroots supporters have stated that the party should focus on electoral justice if the democracy of Sierra Leone is to be restored.
However, the US Ambassador to Sierra Leone Bryan Hunt has stated that neither ECSL nor APC or SLPP provided evidence of the 2023 election result.
“This only paralyses the economy because there is yet to be a political reform in the country,” Ambassador Hunt, had said.
