Credible report reaching Africa24 has revealed that, Suleiman Kamara and his homosexual partners are reportedly in danger and insecure following their attempt to normalize homosexuality at the Thunder Hill community east end of Freetown.
The laws of Sierra Leone do not legitimize Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) relationship whether in public or private. Culprits convicted of such act, have suffered fatal consequences others have faced life imprisonment with hard labor by the State.
Sources say due to Suleiman and others action, on September 15, 2022, a group of Imams at Thunder Hill community, a settlement in Freetown city, Sierra Leone, organized a protest against homosexuality within the community.
The protest by Imams video went viral on social media as footage saw them marching through the streets, carrying placards with the inscription, “No to Homosexuality in Sierra Leone.”
The presumed leader of the group of Imams expressed their concerns, stating that the youth in the community are attempting to normalize homosexual behavior, which they find unacceptable according to the teachings of the holy Quran. As they walked through the streets, they also chanted the phrase “Allahuakbarr.”
The Imams stated that Suleiman and others at Thunder Hill wanted to legalize homosexuality; which is deemed as a taboo.
The Imams reacted angrily that they will not tolerate such action. Continuing they stated that they must unite against homosexuality; which constitutionally and traditionally is totally prohibited in Sierra Leone.
“We cannot allow homosexuality in our country”, as Muslims we must stand up against such abominable act not only in Thunder Hill but across Sierra Leone.
Suleiman and others were reported to the Police who are desperately searching for them. This medium further gathered that unknown assailants have been hired to eliminate Suleiman and his partners in crime.
However, as we go to press the exact whereabouts of Suleiman and others allegedly involved in this homosexual act are nowhere to be seen; as desperate measures have been instituted in order for them to face the full force of the law.
