Judging from the incessant power outage particularly in capital, it is safe but sad to say that the city is the darkest in the entire Africa continent.
This shameful and embarrassing situation has forced the most peaceful Bra Parrot to fly the length and breadth of the capital of Freetown in anger to observe the bad situation for himself.
What actually beat the imagination of the wise bird is that after his tireless effort to find out what was the problem or where it lies was the lacklustre attitude of the Minister of Energy and Power Alahji Kanja Sesay as he has never come out in the open to tell the people of this country the cause of the continuous blackout or what mechanism he has put in place to salvage the situation.
What is disheartening more is the fact that people are struggling to buy credit (top up) for their meters but unfortunately not getting the service in return.
When the patient bird decided to sound the opinions of people in respect of the continuous power cut in Freetown, almost all of them expressed similar dissatisfaction and frustration over the situation, more so when they said most of them depend on electricity as means for their livelihood.
They took a swipe at the current government for not being able to maintain the light they met but rather have reduced the supply to disappointing ebb, thus adding problem to the people.
Bra parrot noticed that about 75% of particularly women depend on light for their petty businesses including the sale of cold water, ice cream and cold juice to take care of their homes but the current situation has only made things more difficult for them in the municipality.
The question is, when will President Bio sack Alhaji Kanja Sesay to get someone who will talk to the people in respect of the light system in the country?
The wise bird was very much disappointed to have heard the President saying at one time that, the sacking of Alhaji Kanja Sesay will not bring light in the country.
