The wise bird has noticed of late that, since the resignation of Alhaji Kanja Sesay as Minister of Energy and the subsequent taking over of the Ministry by President Maada Bio, the light system has deteriorated drastically.

It is a fact that, during the days of Alhaji Kanja Sesay the electricity particularly in the capital was much better as compared to now.

It could be recalled that, during the days of late President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah, Freetown was classed as the darkest city in the sub-region.

At that time many people resorted to using generators they commonly referred to as ‘KABBAH TIGER.’

By all indications, the use of Kabbah Tiger has resurfaced under the Bio administration but this time around the name has now changed from Kabbah Tiger to Bio Tiger.

The brave bird could say without hesitation that, before the coming of President Bio as Minister of Energy there was some amount of improvement in the energy sector but shortly after the situation has deteriorated.

Many residents in Freetown are currently sleeping in darkness and wake up in darkness particularly in the east end part of the city.

Everybody including Bra Parrot thought when De Pa takes over the Ministry of Energy things will be better even if it means to perform miracles, but unfortunately that did not work as was expected.

The question many people are asking is that, is it not sabotage to De Pa and EDSA he is heading as minister?

As always, the patient bird went out to sound the views of the people on this very important national issue.

Most of those he met came out strongly to state that something is wrong somewhere that the President does not know about.

Presently, most of the business houses in the capital, Freetown are seriously affected more so when the cost of fuel is also costly making lives of the people very difficult to bear.

The people went further to say they are experiencing serious problem with the frequent power outage particularly in the east-end of the capital as most of their household appliances get damaged with the return of heavy voltage.

They further stated that, the noise of the BIO TIGER coupled with the usual noise from mega phones on the streets in the city are very tormenting and sickening.

However, during the days of late President Kabbah, he was aware of power-cut and many a time the Minister of Energy will go on radio and newspapers to inform the people the reason(s) for the power-cut.

But the people have noticed these days that the Minister, Deputies as well as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry who is the professional head are all very quiet on the issue which has led the situation from Kabbah Tiger to Bio Tiger.

With this lackluster attitude, many believe that the government is laying foundation for the opposition to thrive.

The bird is watching as things unfold in this Kingdom.
