International friendlies are part of FIFA calendar especially in football ranking across the world.

Sierra Lone as a football nation follows the same spirit in a bid to keep the caps of outstanding players in the men’s national team.

The Leone Stars technical team headed by Coach Amidu Karim has offered farewell to the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima.

Madam Minister in their upcoming match against Benin, she received the delegation with positive appreciations.

“I was not against your appointments as contemporary Leone Stars Coach, but I am against the procedures in which the appointments were made. I have confidence in you guys because you have the capability and experience to handle the National Team”, she said.

“Sierra Leoneans are seeking victory this time around and President Bio loves winning. When Leone Stars win, the whole country wins. I will not go to Casablanca (Morocco) but I will be with you in frame and spirit. I wish you all the best of luck”.

In his response, the head coach, Amidu Karim, assured Madam Minister and the people of Sierra Leone, pointing that he believes the players would  live up to expectations and that they would bring more joy into the eyes of football lovers at home and abroad. But, he added, though the job is challenging due to massive anticipations from, almost, all Sierra Leoneans’ football loving fans in the country.
