The head coach of FC Kallon, Mohamed Kallon, has met with Nigeria’s Nwankwo Kanu during FC Kallon’s friendly match with Enyimba FC. FC Kallon lost 1-0 to their counterpart Enyimba FC on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Enyimba Stadium in Nigeria.
FC Kallon, a Freetown-based team is owned by Mohamed Kallon.
The team participated in the Coal City Int’l preseason Tourney in Enugu with Enyimba.
The highlight of the match was the reunion of Mohamed Kallon, owner of FC Kallon and former Inter Milan player, with his former teammate at Inter Milan, King Kanu ‘Papilo’ Nwankwo, who is now the boss of Enyimba Mohamed Kallon.
In an interview after the match, the legend revealed that if teams want to improve, they must challenge themselves by hosting international competitions and friendlies as the major African Football could only be through holding series of competitions like bringing together North Africans and West Africans.
Kallon further called for the encouragement of players, advising others to be giving them the right football education.
