From the look of things, it seems the days of the former Minister Energy Alhaji KanJa Sesay’s tenure in office as minister was better when taking into consideration the present darkness in the city.
The Wise Bird has been flying from East to West to get a clear picture of what the problem is in respect of the light system in Capital Freetown.
A day ago, the bird noticed that, the whole City was in complete darkness. It was as if the city was in a grave where in which only dead people live.
The Wise Bird starts to make comparison between the former Minister of Energy and the present Minister, His Excellency the President Dr. Julius Maada Bio as to whom has done well or who is doing well.
Everybody knows the Wise Bird of his uncompromising stance when it comes to issues of national interests.
The Wise Bird will say without hesitation that, the former Minister Alhaji Kanja Sesay was better off during his time in office as compared to the present situation in the city.
The Wise Bird went out to sound the views of the general public about the light situation in the Capital, Freetown.
All those the bird spoke to had expressed dismay over the poor condition of the light particularly now that the President himself is the Minister of Energy.
Some people were very quick to say, the days of Alhaji Kanja Sesay were far better as compared to the present Minister who is also the President and he is directly responsible for Energy in the country.
Some people have squarely blamed the President that he has not been able to take care of the Ministry.
They went further to say that his intervention as President and head of energy was and still the worst ever in the history of this country.
“Kanja Sesay no light, Maada Bio black-out,” the people have lamented publicly.
The Wise Bird cannot give any reason for this poor and uncalled for situation in the city; as today every community in the Capital is completely dark.
According to information, government has paid huge sums of money to the Karpowership to off-set the indebtedness of government.
Only God alone knows were the problem lies; a country without proper lighting system, poor road-network will never progress, and this is what Sierra Leone is facing today.
The Wise Bird is well-known for his boldness as he’ll look at people’s faces and tell them the truth.
