The former captain and defender of East End Lions FC, Kemson Fofanah, has formally quitted the club following the expiration of his deal.
Fofanah, a backbone in the team for over 10 years, leaves behind a legacy as one of the longest-serving players in the club’s illustrious history.
Fofanah’s time with ‘killers’ was not only defined by his exceptional defensive skills, but also by his leadership qualities.
Serving as captain on multiple seasons, he became a key figure both on and off the pitch. His firm commitment and leadership made him a pillar of the team, earning him respect across the football community in Sierra Leone.
Kemson’s contributions have been priceless to the club as he helped Lions FC to achieve both domestic and international success over the years. His career with the E.E. Lions saw him competing in numerous tournaments, thus contributing to their success and while strengthening the club’s reputation in Sierra Leone.
So his departure has marked the end of an era for the club.
The experienced defender is now a free agent and expected to attract interests from both local and international clubs who are eager to secure his services.
