The newly assigned Magistrate to Mile 91, Tonkolili District, Northern Sierra Leone, has assured to bring justice closer to the people.
Magistrate Kamara has promised to dispense justice fairly and impartially, insisting that the rights of all citizens must be protected under his tenure as sitting Magistrate in that area.
On Tuesday, 1st July 2025, the Chief Justice of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Komba Kamanda, officially opened the Mile 91 Magistrate Court in the presence of community members and stakeholders, the Sierra Leone Police and other law enforcement agencies.
In his maiden address to newsmen, Magistrate Kamara urges residents to make the court their friend and ensure they cooperate with it for justice to work in the area.
“I’m here to work for the community, and I want members to cooperate with the court so we will be able to dispense justice fairly,” Magistrate Kamara apealed.
With the opening of the Mile 91 Magistrate Court, residents of Yoni Mamaila Chiefdom and surrounding areas can now access justice more easily.
Magistrate Kamara’s commitment to upholding the law and promoting peace and stability in the region is a positive development for the community and called on residents to be law-abiding. Magistrate Kamara emphasised the importance of respecting the rule of law and living in harmony with one another.
