The National Federation of Farmers of Sierra Leone is a body set up by the government to oversee and complement the effort of the Ministry of Agriculture in the country.

This organization is supported by the government of Sierra Leone which is the umbrella body in charge of all Local farmers in the country.

It is only through this organization that, government will be giving assistance to local farmers, it goes without say that, local farmers are very important and plays a pivotal role in the agricultural sector.

It is also important to note that, the FEED SALONE program is being headed by this organization in collaboration with the Ministry of agriculture.

However, the organization cannot work effectively without a formidable District and Regional executive to handle the affairs of the organization.

The government has been doing all in its power to see that, agriculture is put in it proper footing as it is in the President’s agenda.

The National Federation of farmers, if properly structured will assist the government in the agricultural sector especially during this FEED SALONE program which is the President’s agenda for a better Sierra Leone.

The present district and regional executive have long overdue their stay in office the farmers are calling for elections for formidable executive at both district and regional level.

The call of the farmers is to ask that, elections for both district and regional level are held before the World food day slated for the 16th October, 2024.

In as much as the national executive is working assiduously to put farmers on the limelight yet they don’t have a strong district and regional executive to complement their effort.

The farmers cry is, THEY WANT ELECTIONS NOW.
