The former Vice president of Sierra Leone, Chief Samuel Sam Sumana has stated that there is no ‘iota of development in Sierra Leone’ at the moment under the current dispensation.
He added that the country is just experiencing retrogression under the ‘Paopa’ regime.
Chief Sam Sumana was recently speaking on a television interview at Star TV in Freetown.
According to Sam Sumana, he is back as a full fledge APC member and he dispels the rumours of him joining the party as a motive of revenge.
He said there is no issue of revenge in the APC, stating that as a party they are there to ensure that they take development seriously.
The former VP pointed out that the country is suffering from lack of development from the spheres of life and the APC being a grassroots based party they will ensure that they work hard to develop Sierra Leone.
He underscored his view that the APC development was evident during his former boss Ernest Bai Koroma’s era, adding that everyone visibly saw development happening at that time.
The former VP was sacked during the EBK era but later formed his political party that resulted to the demise of the APC in 2018 elections.
Sam Sumana was overwhelmingly voted in his home District of Kono where he cleared all the Parliamentary seats in 2018.
The former President decided to reunite with the APC party as he has been confirmed APC member last week by the All People’s Congress party’s National Advisory Council.
