The Executive Director of the National Sport Authority (NSA), Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, has refuted rumors circulating on social media that Leone Stars head Coach Mohamed Kallon has demanded a $20,000 monthly salary and threatened to leave if the demand is not looked into.
Though, some bulletins recently suggested Coach Kallon had issued an ultimatum over his pay, Dr. Abdulai has however clarified to the Africe24 sports desk that contract negotiations are still ongoing.
He said they are finalising the details of the agreement and confirmed that even though figures were mentioned during the talks, Kallon has not made any threat to walk away.
Coach Kalloh started his contract with a 3‑1 win against Guinea Bissau but later suffered a loss to Egypt.
Contract talks between Coach Kallon and the National Sport Authority are still ongoing.
