The former presidential candidate of the Unity party, who also doubles as the Chairman of Consortium of Progressive Political Parties (COPPP), Madam Femi-Claudius Cole, has during her 63rd birthday fed more than 380 Sierra Leoneans.
The ceremony took place on the 13th September 2024 at 18th Wallace Johnson St, opposite the
Big Market, in Freetown.
Speaking just after giving food to the less privileged, madam Femi Claudius-Cole informed that she decided to feed the less privileged during her birthday celebration as a way of giving back to society.
She said she was happy to mingle with the vulnerable because they too deserve such preference irrespective of lower their status in society.
The beneficiaries were treated for ailments like malaria, typhoid, cold, infection among others.
She maintained that her quest for helping people is part of her long dream.
She noted that this is ot the first time she had embarked on such humanitarian gestures but had done so times without numbers, especially in other parts of the country.
Mariatu Bangura, a disabled person from Kroo Bay, expressed delight over the gesture and thanked Madam Cole for considering them irrespective of their physical condition.
Leader Femi Claudius-Cole Femi Claudius-Cole took to her Twitter page now called X on September 13th 2024, posting, “Today was an amazing day, one of my best birthday ever, Thanks for all your heartwarming wishes and prayers. I am humbled, grateful, and so honored! May the spirit of such good wishes touch us all”.
“We treated and fed approximately 380 people, “she revealed.
She said “It’s my birthday today Friday 13th and having thought about how I wanted to celebrate it, I chose to give a free medical to the disabled at central of Freetown.”
