Twenty-five-years-old Abubakarr Sesay, who is a welder, made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road court No.1 in Freetown on a count charge of fraudulent conversion Contrary to Section 20 (1) (iv) (a) of the larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence sometimes in February 2025 at Damaya Hill Station in Freetown fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit one hundred and fifty six length of half inch iron rods all to the total value of twenty eight thousand and eighty Leones (28,080) entrusted to him by Abubakarr Tarawally for the purpose of safe keeping property of one Abubakarr Tarawally.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, no plea taken.
The accused person was not legally represented
Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura refused bail based on the seriousness of the offences charged matter adjourned to the 23rd May 2025.
