Sierra Leone will take four sportspersons from athletics and badminton to Manama to partake in a competitive fashion.
The athletes were selected from active school sports programs in the Gymnasiade U-18 School Sports organized by the International School Sport Federation (ISF) in Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain in October 2024.
The event will provide students an opportunity to test their skills against a truly global competition in a bizarre environment, where they can make new friends and experience new cultures.
The schedules for the 23rd to 31st October 2024 events will feature the following twenty-five sports: Archery, Athletics, Badminton, and Basketball 3×3, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Chess, Dance Sport, Fencing, Aerobic, Gymnastics, Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Handball, Judo, Karate, Orienteering, Padel, Swimming, Table, Tennis, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Para, Athletics, Para Judo and Para Swimming
Six (6) thousand participants are expected to show up in Manama, Bahrain.
The Bahrain appearance for the sportsmen will mark the second time Sierra Leone to take some school children to the world stage.
