As the political wind continues to blow in every nook and cranny in the country, vital information from political parties have started to leak to the wise bird from senior members.

The wise bird has been reliably informed that the out-going Chairman of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Dr. Prince Harding has confessed  that for the party to win the 2028 general elections, it needs to produce a sellable candidate that people will easily love and support en mass.

The source stated that notwithstanding the love the out-going Chairman has for the party, he has opted not to contest again.

However, in spite of all what he has done Bra Parrot has gathered that the chairman stands accused to have manipulated the last lower level elections of the party.

Dr. Prince Harding is alleged to have acted as a statesman, giving space to other people for the love of the party, whilst other members have to quit even when the dance gets sweeter for obvious reasons, just like at the moment.

Bra Parrot’s sources have told him that the Chairman would have won again if he had wanted to contests, but insisted everything has its own time under the sun, as it’s time for him to bow honourably.

The sources further told the bird that during his tenure as chairman, Dr. Prince Harding has won two general elections, first in 2018 and then 2023 even though the latter was considered controversial.

Dr. Prince Harding is also quoted to have admitted that the party still has some bottle-necks to address before the 2028 general elections if the party is to win the 2028 elections.

He is also quoted to have jokingly said that the opposition APC is also presently battling with their own problems, as everybody wants to succeed President Bio.

The bird as usual went out to get the views of both party members as well as ordinary members on the issue of the 2028 elections more so when Dr. Harding has just highlighted that his party has some bottlenecks.

The bird wasted no time to visit first governing party’s headquarters to have views of their members.

Fortunately, Bra Parrot met some supporters of Dr. Harding, who said they respected his idea of giving                                                                                 space to other members. They argued that he indeed acted like a statesman not to contest again, noting that he would have won again if he had wanted.

The enthusiastic supporters defended that their boss took a very good decision as a true and respectable leader.

According to them, Dr. Harding will fully take part in the campaign come 2028 for the party to continue in power.

Like his supporters, the bird also has the greatest respected for the Doctor for behaving as a statesman to quit when he is still needed in the party and when the dance is sweeter.
