The Wise Bird is very much optimistic that, something good will come from the Tripartite Committee by way of recommendations.

Speculations and counter-speculations have been flying East, West, North and South of the country as to the outcome of the Committee. Some people are even counting the number of days left for the Committee to complete its work; some are very much optimistic just as the Wise Bird is.

As the Wise Bird does not know it all, so it went out to get the views of the people to allay the fears of the people in respect of the rumors going on around town.

The first port of call was the office of the aggrieved party the APC, as he went there to get more from them in respect of what is their anticipation of the Committee’s recommendations. Unfortunately, the Head of the secretariat (Secretary General) of the party the bird wants to talk to was at a meeting.

However, the brave bird tried very hard to talk to some senior members of the party to get a balance story so that the people the bird represents are not disappointed.

According to those the Wise Bird spoke with they said, they as a party members have the greatest respect for the Committee and as a result they are expecting the Committee to do a work in the best interest of peace, unity and development of the country.

Other members of the party told the Wise Bird that, even though they are expecting a good work from the Committee but yet still they are skeptical because of the utterances of the American Ambassador who according to them, has prejudiced the outcome of the recommendations of the Committee and that of the President who came out openly to say NO ELECTIONS, till 2028; sounding as if the recommendations are on his table.

Some of the members further told the Wise Bird that, the statements by both the Ambassador and the President are all policy statements and have not go down well with certain section of the people.

The question some people are asking is that, what’s next after the Tripartite Committee recommendations?
