The wise bird has been following the activities in the country of late to know more.

But the brave bird is still not being able to put one and one report together to see what will come out of this ugly incident under discourse.

When the incident took place few days ago, some fingers have been pointing at different quarters and even at some individuals.

Just few days after the ugly incident occurred, the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio came out strongly with a statement accusing the Main Opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party that it had been behind the COUP. The President did not stop at that, he also had linked the APC party to the August 10th civil protests.

The wise bird had tried to contact the party’s power house man, who is the Secretary General of the APC party to get his views on the matter, but as a busy person he did not pick up the call.

But being that social media is very powerful these days, the wise bird was able to see a letter dated 27th November, 2023 in which the Secretary General similarly came out strongly with a strong worded letter to debunk the statement of the President and the said letter speaks for itself.

The question the wise bird is asking now is that, will ‘ACCUSATION AND COUNTER ACCUSATION SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF SIERRA LEONE’?

The President in his capacity as FATHER of the nation should not have been the right person to make those accusations.

This is because the president in his wisdom has set up a peace Commission to bring the ‘divided nation’ together in the interest of peace in the country. How can he seemingly try to divide the nation more he is working up to amend?

The brave bird will say, without a hesitation that, the Peace Commission will not work as long as those in authority are not honest with their intentions and as this happens many say peace will never come to this land.
