Albert Sheriff Suluku, a forty-three year old teacher, Today Turay, a thirty- three year old businessman, Musa Kamara, a thirty- two year old unemployed man, Augustine Rashid Kelfala Josiah, 45, a Human Resource Coordinator and Kadiatu Kamara, a forty four year old unemployed was again arraigned before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No.2 on a count charge of proposing to murder, contrary to section 4 of the Offences Against the Persons Act of 1861.
According to the police charge sheet, on Friday, 18th April, 2025, Freetown in the western area of the Republic of Sierra Leone, the accused proposed to murder Musayaroh Barrie.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken.
Prosecution witness number two DPC 17171 Alie Kamara, attached to the Cybercrime Unit at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters at Pademba Road in Freetown, recognized the accused persons in the dock and the complainant in the matter. He recalled on 21st April, 2025 he was on duty at the said office when a case of conspiracy was assigned to him by the Line Manager Inspector P.A. Moseray for investigation and on the same date, he obtained statement from the complainant who handed over to him audio recording as evidence. The witness said he thereafter forwarded the audio to the officer in command at the laboratory at the cyber unit, Inspector Mohamed Jusu for processing. He furthered that on 22nd April, 2025 himself and Inspector P.A. Moseray together with the complainant went to Lungi with endorsed warrant of arrest documents, and upon their arrival, they were able to arrest all the accused persons separately at their residences and that their endorsed warrants of arrest have since been in the custody of the police. The witness disclosed that the endorsed warrant was produced and tendered in court to form part of the court records which was marked as exhibit D1-4. He said they returned to Freetown with all the accused persons for questioning on the same date, and that himself together with Inspector P.A. Moseray obtained voluntary caution statements from all accused in the presence of their lawyers separately. They were cautioned and questioned in Krio separately and they responded in Krio separately which he recorded in English separately. The witness told the court that at the conclusion of their interview, he read and explained it to them separately which they admitted it to be true and correct by afflicting their right hand thumbprints separately which was witnessed by the said investigator and he signed as the recorder. The statement was produced and tendered in the court to form part of the court records.
On 30th April, 2025, the case and enquiry file was forwarded to the DPP for his legal advice and on 12th May, 2025 he received a reply from the DPP and on the same date, himself and the said investigator obtained charge statement from the accused separately with the offence of proposing to murder by using the same procedure as in the voluntary caution statement witnessed by the investigator and he signed as the recorder. The charge statement was produced and tendered in the court to form part of the court records.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Fornah refused bail based on the seriousness of the offence and adjourned the matter to 24th, June 2025.
