The astute Member of Parliament representing the people of Kenema District Hon. Alie Bayoh has used the past holiday festive season to educate his people on the aspirations of President Bio’s government on championing agricultural productivity.
During his movement in Tunkia and Nomo chiefdoms, the young and illustrious Member of Parliament reminded his people of the Feed Salone project of President Bio and called on them to focus on agricultural production to enhance food self-sufficiency for the people of Sierra Leone. He informed his people that the president is doing all he could to make Sierra Leone a better nation in food security and went on to highlight the significant gains made by the president in achieving the objectives. “I want you all to focus on agriculture for food self-sufficiency.” he implored. The MP held various meetings with party executives who doubled as development committee members to discuss the planned activities for 2024. “The deliberation was a success and we are going to accomplish it together,” he said.
The young MP also held meetings with various stockholders to identify their concerns and immediate felt needs.
On youth engagement, the optimistic MP engaged the youths with words of peace and cohesion and went on to remind them about the security status of the country, and advised them to be vigilant in reporting anything that is a security concern to the state, to the authority.
The Parliamentarian also visited the Clinic in his chiefdom in order to have firsthand knowledge of their challenges and later advocated to the M&E Team in Kenema Government Hospital to address those challenges.
The lawmaker also used the opportunity to re-educate people about the end date of the old currency and procedures for how to change the money and also visited almost all the burial homes with a token as per tradition.
