The Regional Representative for the Freetown West police division, Inspector Foday Alusine Bangura, has informed pressmen at the weekly police media update on Tuesday 18th April, 2023 at police headquarters on George street that the Aberdeen police post has detained one Mohamed Sesay who allegedly damaged a billboard bearing the name and photo of His Excellency Rtd. Brig Dr. President Julius Maada Bio and his running mate, Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh.
He reported that on Monday 17th April, 2023, one Mohamed Mansaray of Thomas compound, Aberdeen arrested and brought in Mohamed Sesay of Cape road, Aberdeen and reported that the latter maliciously damaged a billboard bearing the name and photo of president Bio and his vice.
Inspector Bangura confirmed that they have obtained statement from the suspect and is currently under police custody.
