Mohamed N’balie Kamara has delivered an emotional speech of departure to Horoya Athletic Club as he prepares for new challenges ahead.
His ability was further underlined in the match against Ivory Coast, where he made numerous saves, including a crucial penalty block against Franck Kessie, Leone Stars to secure a 2-2 draw.
Kamara began his career with Sierra Leonean side F.C. Johansen before spending three years at East End Lions.
On May 22, 2022, Horoya AC announced Kamara’s signing in, anticipating that his contributions will be valuable for the new team.
“The time has come for me to open a new chapter in my career. But before that, it is so important for me to say thank you to the great and beautiful family of Horoya.
“Thanks to fans, players, managers, medical staff, board members, and everyone who has been with me during these last two seasons at this club—thank you all.”
“Together, we have created only good memories, great victories, and have won memorable titles.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much; I will never forget you. Of course, last but not the least, I thank my family and friends who have always stood by my side in good and bad times,” he said.
Kamara, who joined the Guinean club in 2022, on a two-year contract, expressed his gratitude and fond memories to the team.
Kamara’s move to Horoya AC followed an impressive AFCON 2021 outing where he was named Man of the Match for Sierra Leone opening game against Algeria, thus showcasing his exceptional skills by thwarting spirals of attacking advances.
