As the brave bird will always say he does not want to tell lies or give out wrong information to the people of Sierra Leone.
That is more the reason the wise bird reads newspapers, listens to news on radio, watches television (TV) and also listens to audios on social media as a way of collecting vital news from all angles.
The wise bird was fortunate to listen to an audio sent in by a female Councillor who gave her name as Councillor Sando Saffar from Kenema, east of Sierra Leone.
According to what it gets from the audio and what the woman said in the audio makes the wise bird became so much sympathetic with her as a woman.
What the wise bird got from the audio was that, the woman was given the SLPP symbol to contest the June, 2023 elections, she did accept it and won in one of the new wards created by SLPP.
The wise bird saw the creation of new wards by the SLPP as a way to get more seats in the local Council against the Opposition, as the case maybe.
The audio stated that, Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone published a Gazette of which her name, that woman, was and still is number 15 in the said Gazette.
According to her, she took an Oath of office and a letter was given to her as one of the Councillors in Kenema Council.
A letter was sent to the Chief Administration (CA) and her name according to the woman was and still is number 12 on the list sent to the CA.
From what the wise bird had gathered a new Gazette is now out and her name has been removed and replaced by another woman by the name of Masa Bockarrie who did not even contest the election.
According to the audio the woman said of all those behind her attempted removal and they are: the Mayor of Kenema City Council, Thomas Baio, the SLPP Women’s Leader Hawa Foray, and ECSL Commissioner Mohamed Konneh.
And it appears now that the name Mohamed Konneh is always at the centre of controversies when it comes to election process in the country.
The woman is calling on all women’s organizations and other organizations to come to her aid as she feels intimidated as a woman by some members of her own and their party the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).
According to Madam Saffar she will never back-out from the Council; she will continue to fight for her right as she did not just go to council but she was voted for as the PR demands.
