The Opposition Grand Old Party of Sierra Leone, the All People’s Congress Party’s ( APC ) defiant Unity has kept them in the cockpit of Opposition and yet still not ready for a government in waiting.

The Politicians of the APC Party should stop peddling factionalism, regionalism, tribalism and division that shows their weaknesses of disunity and the strength of their hubbub in the Party.

The APC Politicians should learn from their mistakes in the face of Opposition trauma and despair, and brace for the adequacy of peace and Unity regardless of its factional division as its modus Operandi

With all the cracks and Crovasses, the party has been witnessing. At the same time, the politicians are busy seeking selfish gains regardless of the Collateral damage, yet does it take the Party to govern? The APC Party still remains as a political party, but the shadow of the failure of the politicians to unify the party stick around and haunts them.

The Opposition Grand Old Party is being paralysed by the very politicians of the party with an exhausted tribal and regional politics that created the problems but without solutions. The longer this pattern of politics remains in the APC Party, the less it seems to change and the more brittle the Party becomes.

2028 is fast approaching. Can the APC Party still hang on to the legacy of Ernest  Bai Koroma (EBK)?

The Party is now approaching a fundamental choice where the fear of the electorate will punish the Politicians with the politics of revenge which will be a nightmare for the APC Party.

Can the politicians in the Opposition Grand Old Party change the rigid shape of the Party in its tribal, and regional politics that have helped to destroy the party?

With the current mood in the APC Party, the supporters are more fragmented and fickle with what is unfolding in the Party which is unusually favourable. It is time for the Politicians to solidify the Party and learn from the unstable politics over the past years in Opposition.

The politics of tribalism and regionalism have failed in the Party, and it is not a design system that is workable in the Party, as it has enraged the Party’s supporters with dismissiveness and indignation.

These unpatriotic politicians should make way for the rejuvenated and blameless politicians for a positive reform. They have done a great harm to the party and its Supporters, and also a great tragedy with all that has been unfolding in the past years which seems like a desecration of the party and its Supporters.

The big question now is, what lesson have the politicians and the party learnt from the Cockpit of Opposition?

Until a patriotic Apcian dares to unify the party without fear or favour, tribalism or regionalism if not, the Party will ever remain in the Cockpit of Opposition where their decline will be dressed in Oblivion. Till then the Grand Old Party will be EBK’s APC Party. Be the God’s best.
