Dear Editor,
Please allow me space in your widely read newspaper to express my views on a very important issue of concern to me.
Let me first of all take this opportunity to thank you and your team very warmly for a work well done.
As a peace loving citizen, I have been following with keen interest the activities of all the political parties in the country, but of late my attention as a true concerned citizen of this country has been drawn to the present impasse within the main opposition APC party with regards the qualification/eligibility of certain members in the party.
As much as l am concerned, there is a clause/provision in the party’s Constitution which made it abundantly clear about members legibility although it is subject to amendment.
Therefore, I see no need or reason for unnecessary argument over such issue. The only thing is, the Executive, National Advisory Committee (NAC) and the Elders need to sit together to do the needful and stop playing dirty politics with the party or it will be too late for them to handle the situation before the 2028 elections.
Delay, they say, is always dangerous so the party needs to create a level playing field in the interest of the people especially its grassroot supporters and the party in general.
I am not a card carrier of any political party in this country. I only speak as a Sierra Leonean because I don’t want people to misunderstand my position.
APC, think wisely, do things wisely, act wisely and above all plan wisely.
Thank you Mr. Editor,
Yours sincerely,
Abu S. Tommy
Moyamba Town.
